We are pleased to announce the publication of the result of the rescheduled ESL Division One Round Three gala. This can be seen on the League Tables page of our website link: http://wp.essexswimleague.org.uk/colibri-wp/league-table.
Places for the ESL 2026 Division Finals on 27th June are based on overall league rankings after the first three rounds. Current rankings are available on the same webpage.
- Division One: Competing teams will be Newham UEL, Basildon & Phoenix, Colchester, Witham Dolphins and Runnymede.
Location: Basildon Sporting Village. The host club is Basildon. WarmUp/Start Time: 18:00/18:30 - Division Two: Competing teams will be Brentwood, Harwich, Braintree, Hornchurch and Halstead.
Location: Becontree Leisure Centre. The host club is Harwich. WarmUp/Start Time: 18:00/18:30
Please note: Double league points are awarded in the final galas of the season.
Division One: Congratulations to Basildon & Phoenix for winning round three in Division One. This makes things especially interesting in the contest for the title of 2026 Overall Essex Swimming League Champions. With double league points on offer for the finals, both the current Division One leader Newham UEL or second-placed Basildon & Phoenix could secure the title and the trophy at the final gala.
Division Two: Witham‘s victory in the third round move them up to the Division One final, so Brentwood look in a pretty dominant position with respect to retaining the Division Two title. Harwich are still in with a chance to overturn things, but need to finish three places above them to take away the trophy.
Good luck everyone and do bring your best cheering voices to support your clubs in the finals!
