After another exciting series of galas the 2025 Essex Swimming League season drew to a close with Basildon & Phoenix retaining their title as overall Essex Swimming League Champions 2025.
The final Division One gala ran pretty much to form with Basildon & Phoenix proving too strong overall for second-placed Newham despite some excellent swims. Some strong swims from Chelmsford & Runnymede were also seen on the night and there was lots of cheering and support from both the swimmers and the spectators!
In the final Division Two gala of the season, Dunmow turned in a great performance to win their first gala of the season. Witham Dolphins squeezed past Brentwood by just one point to achieve second place on the night. However, despite the double points on offer for the final round, this wasn’t enough to prevent Brentwood retaining their title as winners of Division Two – again by just one single point!
