A reminder that the first round of the 2026 Essex Swimming League season will be on Saturday 31st January. Once again, to keep things interesting, in season promotion and relegation will be in effect during the season.
Division One will compete at Romford Sapphire Ice pool, 24 Western Road, Romford, GB RM1 3JT. This pool is within the ULEZ zone.
Parking (paid) is available at the nearby Liberty Shopping Centre https://www.theliberty.co.uk/parking/
WarmUp is at 6pm and Start is 6:30pm.
The teams starting in Division One are: Basildon, Runnymede, Brentwood, Witham and Newham (Host Club).
Division Two will compete at Braintree Swimming Centre, Charter Way, Braintree CM77 8YJ.
Note that This gala has an earlier start time. WarmUp is at 5pm and Start is 5:30pm.
The teams starting in Division Two are: Harwich, Hornchurch, Halstead, Colchester and Braintree (Host Club).
Both galas are licensed as level 3 meets. In accordance with the SwimEngland licensing rules ages will be calculated as at the date of the last gala in the season (6th June).
Clubs are reminded that teams need to be submitted to the relevant host club contact using the 2026 ESL Team Sheet no later than 5pm on Friday 30th Jan. Please also copy the ESL secretary on your email.
